(1) DC Bus purge Off Resistors | |
The DC Bus purge Off Resistors (1) are located on the right panel near the top of the cabinet for the flywheel. The resistors (1) purge off the charge from the Flywheel Inverter capacitors when the unit is de-energized and shut down. There are four 4000 ohm / 100W resistors (1).

Removal Procedure
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR9988, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Flywheel Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
- Remove the wires from the resistor (1). Refer to Illustration 2.
- Remove the nuts that hold the ends of the resistor (1) to the mounting brackets.
- Remove the resistor (1) .
Installation Procedure
- Position the resistor (1) between the mounting brackets that are located on the right panel.
- Install the resistor (1) to the mounting bracket.
- Install the nuts and tighten the nuts.
