The DC Bus Disconnect Switch (DCSW) (6) is located behind the middle metal safety panel on the rear panel of the cabinet for the flywheel. Via the handle on the front door of unit, the DCSW performs the following operations:

  • switches on the DC power

  • switches off the DC power

Three cables enter the top of the cabinet for the flywheel. Two of the cables connect to the top of the switch (6) and one of the cables connect to the ground stud (4) for the DC Bus. The cables carry DC voltage from the DC Output for the Inverter Cabinet, via the DC Bus wireway.

Two lights are located on the front of the middle safety panel. The lights indicate whether the DCSW is safe to operate.
