Installation Procedure

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Attach a suitable lifting device around main control valve (4) and position main control valve (4) to the machine. The main control valve (4) weighs 116 kg (255 lb).

- Install three bolts (14) in order to attach main control valve (4) to the machine.
- Connect six electrical plugs (13) and hose assembly (12) to main control valve (4) .

- Attach hose assembly (11) to main control valve (4) .

- Attach clamp (10) in order to secure tube assembly (9) to the machine.

Underneath Cushion-Hitch | |
- Connect tube assembly (9) and three hose assemblies (8) to main control valve (4) .

- Attach adapter (7) and three hose assemblies (6) to main control valve (4) .

- Connect five hose assemblies (5) to main control valve (4) .

- Install bolt (2) to clamps (3) in order to attach hose assemblies (1) to main control valve (4) .

- Connect two hose assemblies (1) toward the rear of the main control valve.
