- 使用工具 (A) 转动发动机以接近连杆盖上的螺栓。
- 在每个连杆和相应的连杆盖上标记汽缸号。
注: 发动机的前端与飞轮端相对。 1 1 汽缸位于右侧发动机的前端。 1 2 汽缸位于左侧。
- 从连杆上拆卸螺栓 (1) 和连杆盖 (2) 。

- 将轴承从连杆 (2) 和连杆盖上拆下。
- 将活塞 (3) 从缸套内推出，直到活塞环从缸套中完全脱出。

- 拆卸活塞和连杆组件。
- 使用工具 (B) 拆下固定活塞销 (4) 的挡圈。

- 用合适的环形凹槽工具清洁活塞环形凹槽。 有关清洁活塞的正确步骤，请参考再使用零件指南, SEBF8059, "清洁和检查 3500 系列发动机活塞的步骤"。
- 提高连杆温度。
注: 不要直接使用火焰来加热连杆。
- 将工具 (F) 放在工具 (D) 的底座上。 在底座上安装连杆。

- 将活塞销轴承对准工具 (D) 上的端口组件中心。 在活塞销孔的中心安装销 (9) 。
- 安装工具 (G) 。 将适配器中的孔与工具 (D) 底座的孔对齐。
- 安装条形卡箍和卡箍销 (10) 。
注: 安装新轴承时将旧轴承往外推。
- 固定工具 (E) 让锥形侧倒置。 活塞销轴承接头必须与适配器和工具 (D) 底座中的孔对齐。
- 将拉拨器 (7) 置于适配器 (11) 上。
- 使用工具 (D) 将新活塞销轴承 (8) 推入连杆，直到适配器 (11) 与连杆接触。
- 从工具 (D) 上拆卸连杆和旧活塞销轴承。
- 安装活塞销轴承后，测量轴承孔径。 正确直径应为 70.000 ± 0.008 mm (2.7559 ± 0.0003 in)。
