New Timing Advance Weight Used{1272,1288,1286,1264}

Usage:

Direct Injection 3406 ( 90U, 91U, 92U ) Industrial, Marine And Truck Engines;
980C ( 63X ) And 983B ( 58X ) Loaders;
824C ( 85X ) 621B ( 45P, 35V ) And 623B ( 46P ) Tractors;
825C ( 86X ) And 826C ( 87X ) Compactors;
16G ( 93U ) Motor Graders;
245 ( 95V, 94L ) Excavators And 245 ( 82X, 84X ) Front Shovels

Description of Change: A new, improved timing advance weight is used in the above models. The new, steel weight has a larger spring pocket for more clearance between the spring and pocket than the former timing advance weight.

It was some times possible for the spring to make contact with the pocket in the former weight and become worn. The result was failure of the spring.

Adaptable As: The new 1W2284 Timing Advance Weight is a direct replacement for the former 7N6176 Timing Advance Weight which is canceled.

Two timing advance weights are used in a governor and fuel pump drive group in 3406 Engines.
