Improved Temperature Control Switch Used On Machines Equipped With Air Conditioner Units{7320}

Usage:

All Machines Equipped With Air Conditioner Units

Description of Change: A change has been made to the temperature control switches used with air conditioner units. The capillary tubes and diaphragm housings of the switches are now plated (have a cover layer) with tin for protection against corrosion. Formerly, the metal had no protection and corrosion damage was possible. Corrosion damage can cause a leak which lets the gas out of the switch, and the switch will not operate.

Adaptable As: Direct replacement. The part number of the 3V253 and 9P3498 Switches did not change. Identification of later switches can be made by the silver (grey) color of the tin plated parts. On earlier switches, these parts have the natural brass (yellow) color of the metal. The 9P3498 Switch is also the service replacement for the earlier 8P5346 Switch which is canceled.
