Prevent the machine from movement. Park the machine on a level surface.
Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to the start switch or to the controls before you service the equipment . These warning tags (Special Instruction, SEHS7332) are available from your Caterpillar dealer.

Installation Procedure
- Install plate (4) onto the right side of the main valve.

(8) 9N-0869 Hard Washer - Secure ECM (3) onto plate (4).
- Attach the ground strap.
- Connect harness (A).
- Unless specified, tighten all fittings and hardware to standard torque.

Calibrate the machine electronic control system
ECM (3) becomes "Implement Control #3" in Electronic Technician (ET) and is to be flashed using the same "Implement Control" flash file that is used on "Implement Control #1 and #2".
