Cylinder Head Bolts - Tighten
Tighten the cylinder head bolts according to the following procedures.

- Remove the valve mechanism cover. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Module, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install" topic for additional information.
- Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the numerical sequence that is shown above.
- Tighten the cylinder head bolts to the following torque:

51 N·m (38 lb ft) 3013, 3014, and 3024 Engines ...
100 N·m (74 lb ft) - Install the valve mechanism cover. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Module, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install" topic for additional information.
