Description of Change: New software is available for the engine electronic control module. The new software will eliminate false error and false event code logging on M300C machines. The software will also resolve Engine Speed Hunting.

The new software can be obtained in the form of a flash file through the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).

Adaptable To: The new 231-2398231-2399 Engine Ratings Electronic Software is currently being installed on the M300C machines. The 231-2398 Engine Ratings Electronic Software is applicable to all M313C and M315C machines. The 231-2399 Engine Ratings Electronic Software is applicable to all M316C, M318C and M322C machines.
