Muffler - Remove and Install

Usage:

321C MCF

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the counterweight. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Counterweight - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".

  1. Remove bolts (2) and panel assembly (1) .

  1. Remove bolts (3) and panel assembly (4) .

  1. Remove bolts (5) .

  1. Remove bolts (6) and bracket assembly (7) .

  1. Remove bolts (8) .

  1. Remove bolts (10) and guard assembly (9) .

  1. Loosen bolts (13). Remove nuts (11) .

  1. Reposition tube assembly (12) .

  1. Disconnect nut (14) and tube assembly (15) from the muffler.

  1. Remove bolts (16). Remove the muffler from the machine. The weight of the muffler is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the muffler onto the machine and install bolts (16). The weight of the muffler is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

  1. Connect nut (14) and tube assembly (15) onto the muffler.

  1. Reposition tube assembly (12) and install nuts (11) .

  1. Tighten bolts (13) .

  1. Position guard assembly (9) and install bolts (10) .

  1. Install bolts (8) .

  1. Position bracket assembly (7) and install bolts (6) .

  1. Install bolts (5) .

  1. Position panel assembly (4) and install bolts (3) .

  1. Position panel assembly (1) and install bolts (2) .

End By:

  1. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove and Install".
  2. Install the counterweight. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Counterweight - Remove and Install".
