Remove and Install Pump Drive (Power Steering)

Start By:

a. remove fuel transfer pump

1. Remove the washers, three bolts (2) and one nut (3) that hold pump drive (1) to the timing gear plate.

2. Use a soft hammer to remove (push) pump drive (1) and bearing (7) out of the timing gear cover and the timing gear plate.

3. Remove three bolts (4).

4. Remove bearings (7) and gear (6) from housing (1) as a unit.

5. Remove O-ring seal (5) from housing (1).

NOTE: Check the condition of all components. Use new parts for replacement of any worn or damaged components

6. Install pump drive (1) in the reverse order of removal.
