Usage:
Remove and Install Valve Guides
Start By:
a. remove valves
Typical Example
1. Use Tool (A) and a hammer to push the valve guides out of the cylinder head, as shown.
NOTE: Use the following steps to install the new valve guides.
2. Put clean engine oil on the outside diameter of the valve guides.
Typical Example
3. Use Tooling (A), and install the valve guides until they extend 35.0 ± 0.5 mm (1.38 ± .02 in) from the surface of the cylinder head. Refer to the Specifications for the correct values for the inside diameters of new and used valve guides.
