(1) Filler Cap
(2) Fluid Tank

  1. Clean filler cap (1) and the surrounding area.

  2. Remove the filler cap (1).

  3. Fill diesel exhaust fluid tank (2) with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF).

If your machine is equipped with a Service Center, Fast Fill Service Panel, you may be able to drain/add fuel through the fast fill port.

Reference: For more information refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Service Center, Fast Fill Service Panel".

Note: Do not fill the DEF tank from a contaminated container or funnel.

Note: Do not over fill the tank. DEF can freeze and needs room for expansion.

Note: When filling the diesel exhaust fluid tank (2) with the engine start switch in the ON position, the machine horn will sound twice when the diesel exhaust fluid tank (2) is full.

  4. Install the filler cap.

Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for more information on diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) guidelines.
