Expansion Tank - Remove and Install

Usage:

980L D8Z

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the hood.

    Note: Note the orientation of the clamps for installation purposes.

  2. Loosen clamp (1) and disconnect hose (3).

  3. Loosen clamps (2) and disconnect hoses (4).

  4. Loosen clamp (6) and disconnect hose (8).

  5. Remove bolts (7) and expansion tank (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install expansion tank (5) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 30 ± 7 N·m (22 ± 5 lb ft).

    2. Tighten clamps (2) to a torque of 7.5 ± 1 N·m (66 ± 9 lb in).

    3. Tighten clamp (1) to a torque of 0.9 ± 0.2 N·m (8.0 ± 1.8 lb in).
