Usage:
1. Put identification marks on all electrical wires connected to the alternator for installation purposes. Disconnect the electrical wires from the alternator.
2. Loosen nut (1) toward the engine.
3. Loosen nut and bolt (7) and rotate alternator (6) toward the engine.
4. Remove V-belts (2) from alternator drive pulley (5).
5. Remove bolt (4) and disconnect adjusting rod mounting bracket (3) from alternator (6).
6. Remove nut and bolt (7) and remove alternator (6).
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the alternator.
7. Put alternator (6) in position and install nut and bolt (7). Tighten the nut on bolt (7) hand tight.
8. Install bolt (4) and connect adjusting rod mounting bracket (3) to alternator (6).
6. Install V-belts (2) on alternator drive pulley (5).
7. Adjust the tension of the V-belts. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct adjusting procedure. Tighten nut and bolt (7).
8. After adjusting the tension of the drive bolt, tighten nut (1).
