Usage:
1. Drain the coolant from the engine.
2. Drain the oil from the oil cooler.
3. Disconnect tube assembly (1).
4. Remove four bolts (2) on rear bonnet (3), four bolts (4) and two bolts (5) on front bonnet (6). Remove the front and rear bonnets with engine oil cooler (7) as an assembly.
NOTE: Put marks on the oil cooler and bonnets to aid in assembly.
5. Remove bonnet (3) from the oil cooler (7), and remove the O-ring seal from the bonnet.
6. Remove bonnet (6) and adapter (8) from oil cooler (7), and remove the O-ring seals from the adapter.
7. Use a 3.175 mm (.125 in) diameter rod to clean each tube of the engine oil cooler.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the engine oil cooler.
8. Replace any O-ring seals that are worn or damaged, and put clean engine oil on them.
9. Put the O-ring seals on adapter (8), and install the adapter and bonnet on oil cooler (7).
10. Install the O-ring seal on bonnet (6) and install the bonnet on the oil cooler.
11. Put the O-ring seals in position on the oil filter base.
12. Put new gaskets in position on the engine, water pump and tube and install oil cooler (7) on the oil filter base.
13. Install bolts (2), (4) and (5).
14. Check the oil level in the engine. See the Maintenance Manual.
15. Fill the cooling system to the correct level. See the Maintenance Manual.
