A New Walkway is Now Used on the Front mounted Screeds {7253}
- Asphalt Paver:
- AS2251 (S/N: CWF1-UP; ASP1-UP)
- AS2301 (S/N: AKC1-UP; AWC1-UP)
Description of Change: New walkways and improved hinges are now used. These improvements strengthen the attachment of the walkway to the machine.

Procedure to Attach the New Walkway to the 8 Foot Screed

- Remove the walkways from the screed.
- Remove hinges (10) from the screed. Grind the screed frame smooth.

- Install brackets (2) on walkway assemblies (3). Install bolts (6) and hard washer (7). Install bolts (4) and jam nuts (1) in hinges (5) .

- Install the walkway assemblies to the hinges on the screed. Install pins (8) and cotter pins (9) .
- Adjust bolts (4) so walkway assemblies (3) are approximately 30 mm (1.2 inch) above horizontal. Tighten jam nuts (1) .

- Install brackets (2) on walkway assemblies (3). Install bolts (6) and hard washer (7). Install bolts (4) and jam nuts (1) in hinges (2) .
