There have been instances of external oil leaks from the rear of certain C4.4 engines. Oil can be seen around the rear underside of the engine around the flywheel housing.

If a leak is suspected from the 232-7449 Housing As, identify the source of the leak. Refer to Special Instruction, M0105583, "Inspection of the Rear of the Engine on Certain C4.4 Machines" to identify the source of the leak.
