Usage:
Fuel
Indicates the level of fuel in the tank. Electrically operated, it registers only when the key switch is ON.
Ammeter
Indicates the rate of battery charge or discharge.
Oil Pressure
Registers between 45 and 60 PSI when the engine is running at rated engine speed, with the oil at operating temperature. A lower pressure (10 PSI minimum) is normal at low idle speeds. If no pressure is indicated, stop the engine immediately.
Fuel Pressure
Indicator should register approximately 30 PSI (NORMAL) at engine high idle. When the indicator drops below approximately 25 PSI, wash the primary fuel filter and replace the final filter.
Tachometer
Indicates the engine RPM. The engine can be operated between rated speed and high idle without damage, but should not be allowed to overspeed (such as when going downhill).
Water Temperature
Normally registers between 170°F (77°C) and 195° F (90°C). Somewhat higher temperatures may be experienced under certain conditions. Maximum allowable temperature is 210°F (99°C).
