A force (F) of 118 to 156 lbs. (525 to 695 N) must be necessary to engage the clutch. The force must be at 90° to the clutch lever and 13.4 in. (340 mm) from the center of the lever shaft.

Torque the bolt that holds the clutch lever on the shaft to ... 75 lb.ft.(100 N·m)

(1) Torque for hub nut ... 30 lb.ft.(40 N·m) + 120° to 150°

(2) Torque for bolt that holds the lock in place ... 21 lb.ft.(26 N·m)

(3) End clearance for shaft ... .004 to .007 in.(0.10 to 0.18 mm)

(4) Thickness of clutch plate (new) ... .433 to .443 in.(11.00 to 11.25 mm)

(5) Torque for two bolts that hold the yoke to the shaft ... 38 lb.ft.(51 N·m)

(6) Torque for two bolts that hold the collar assembly together ... 30 lb.ft.(40 N·m)
