PROBLEM
The existing steel track master link bolts can fail on certain AP655F Asphalt Pavers equipped with steel tracks. Failure of the bolts can lead to breakdown of the machine. |

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
Rework Instruction: 1) Inspect the existing assembly direction of the track chain as per the image 1.1.1 2) If the direction of the track link assembly is as per the recommendation move to step 8, otherwise proceed to step 3. 3) Follow media number UENR6575,? Track chain Remove and install procedure? to remove the track chain. 4) On the incorrectly assembled track side, Raise the main frame of the machine by placing a suitable lifting device under the back plate of the main frame and under the front ballast assembly. 5) Remove the track chain from the frame and rotate the chain by 180 degrees so that the assembly direction matches with the recommended direction in Image 1.1.1. 6) Place the track chain under the frame of the machine. Remove the lifting devices. 7) Follow the Assembly process under ?Track chain Remove and install procedure? to reinstall the chain. 8) Before the assembly of the master link, clean the mating surface of the master link for any debris or paint. 9) Tighten the master link bolts to the following torque using suitable torque wrench. Follow the process outlined below: a. Initially tighten the bolts to a torque of 90 +/- 20 Nm. b. Then further tighten the bolts by 180 degrees. |
