SUBJECT: Operation of the conveyor system in manual override can cause auger rotation.
PROBLEM: A slight rotation of the auger may be experienced when using the feeder manual override switch. The model AP-650B and BG-225C auger system uses high torque motors. This system requires a small amount of pressure to rotate the motor, which in turn causes the auger to rotate. This rotation is normal and will only be experienced when the feeder switch is activated manually. The performance or operation of the machine will not be affected under normal paving operations.
