Description of Change: A new intermediate cylinder, in the hoist cylinder, increases clearance between the wear band in the cylinder head bore and the cylinder rod. The increased clearance prevents binding of the intermediate cylinder and rod. Binding can cause erratic movement of the truck body when lowered.
Adaptable To: New 157-0211 Cylinder (1) is a direct replacement for the former 121-2080 Cylinder, effective with the 121-2071 Hoist Cylinder (Eng. Chg. 04).
New 157-0211 Cylinder (1) is adaptable to earlier 121-2071 Hoist Cylinders (Eng. Chgs. 00-04).
NOTE: An engineering change number (Eng. Chg.) indicates effectivity of this improvement or adaptability to earlier cylinders. The cylinder part number, engineering change number, and date of manufacture are found on the cylinder tag.
