Oil Pan (Brakesaver)

Usage:

Remove Oil Pan (Brakesaver)

start by:

a) remove BrakeSaver control valve

1. Disconnect oil line (1) from the left side of the oil pan.

2. Remove bolts (2) that hold the oil pan to the cylinder block. Remove oil pan (3) from the cylinder block.

3. Remove baffle assembly (4) and the O-ring seal from the oil pan.

4. Remove tube assembly (5) and the O-ring seal from the oil pan.

5. Thoroughly remove the old gasket from the cylinder block and oil pan.

Install Oil Pan (Brakesaver)

1. Inspect the O-ring seals for damage and make replacements if needed. Put clean oil on the O-ring seals.

2. Install the O-ring seal and tube assembly (1) in the oil pan.

3. Install the O-ring seal and baffle assembly (2) in the oil pan.

4. Put a new oil pan gasket on the oil pan.

5. Install two 3/8"-16 NC guide bolts (4) on each side of the cylinder block. Put oil pan (5) in place under the cylinder block. Make sure the BrakeSaver oil supply tube is in alignment with hole (3) in the oil pan.

6. Install the bolts that hold the oil pan in place.

7. Connect oil line (7) to the left side of the oil pan.

NOTE: If plug (6) was removed, make sure the split (seam) in the gasket for the plug is against the oil pan. If plug (8) on either side of the oil pan was removed, put 5P3413 Pipe Sealant on the threads and tighten the plug to a torque of 60 ± 8 lb.ft. (80 ± 11 N·m).

a) install BrakeSaver control valve
