Plate Locations and Film Locations
Cat engines are identified by serial numbers and by arrangement numbers. These numbers are shown on the engine serial number plate and on the engine information plate. Cat dealers need these numbers in order to determine the components that were included with the engine. This permits accurate identification of replacement part numbers.

The engine information plate is located on the right side of the engine on the exhaust cooler.
