Air Starting Motor - Remove

Usage:

C6.6 C6T

Removal Procedure

NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Note: Put identification marks on all hoses on all hose assemblies and on wires and all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and plastic tube assemblies. This will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.

------ WARNING! ------

Shut off the air supply at the air reservoir. Drain the pressurized air from the air starting system. The sudden release of pressurized air can cause personal injury.

  1. The engine can have the ability to auto start. Ensure that the power supply is isolated before any service or repairs is performed.

  2. Turn the air supply at the air reservoir to the OFF position. Ensure that the air pressure is drained from the starting air system.

  3. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
