Installation Procedure

Note: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "General Information (Reference Material)" for more information.

1. Check the O-ring seal from the water pump for damage or wear. If necessary, replace the O-ring seal.

2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to water pump (3). The weight of water pump (3) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Install water pump (3) .

3. Install bolts (5) that hold water pump (3) to the front housing.

4. Install elbow (4), tube (7), and elbow (8) as a unit. Check the gaskets and the O-ring seal for wear or damage. If necessary, replace the gaskets.

5. Install bolts (6) .

6. Install bolts (2) .

7. Connect water inlet connection (1) to water pump (3) .

8. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
