(1) If electrical power is not available, use 9U-6600 Hand Hydraulic Pump.

Start By:

a. Connect the steering frame lock.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to lever assembly (1). Attach the hook of Tooling (A) to link assembly (2) with a suitable lifting device. The weight of link assembly (2) is approximately 313 kg (690 lb).

  2. Remove bolts (3) and plate (4).

  3. Install Tooling (B) to pin assembly (5). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B). The weight of pin assembly (5) and Tooling (B) is approximately 175 kg (386 lb). Remove pin assembly (5). Inspect lip seals (6) and replace if necessary.

  4. Remove bolts (7) and plate (8).

    Note: Mark the shims and the location of the shims for assembly.

  5. Install Tooling (C) to pin assembly (9). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C). The weight of pin assembly (9) and Tooling (C) is approximately 154 kg (340 lb). Remove pin assembly (9).

  6. Lower link assembly (2) to clear the work tool (10) at removal. When the pin assemblies are removed, separate the steering frame lock. Start the engine and move the machine away from the work tool (10).

  7. Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Raise link assembly (2). Use a cable and cable clamps to tie the link assembly to the lever and bearing assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the work tool in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Check and replace lip seals (6) if necessary. Apply Tooling (D) to bore prior to install lip seals (6).

    2. Apply Tooling (E) to pin assemblies (5) and (9).
