A new 205-1320 Idler Gear for the camshaft has been released for 3126B and 3126E Truck Engines. The new camshaft idler gear is a direct replacement for the previous 2W-7563 Idler Gear. Also, a new 205-1322 Camshaft Gear has been released as a direct replacement for the previous 107-7809 Camshaft Gear. If the idler gear is replaced, a new 205-1322 Camshaft Gear and a new 205-1320 Idler Gear should be used to replace the old gears. The new gears offer a more rugged design. Extensive engine damage could occur if the new camshaft gear is not installed with the new camshaft idler gear. The gears only need to be replaced if the gears have been damaged or if the gears have failed. The new gears are effective with serial numbers S/N:HEP12114-UP
. The new gears are adaptable to serial numbers (S/N: 7AS1-UP; 8YL1-UP; CKM1-UP; HEP1-12113). Refer to Table 1 for the replacement part numbers.
