    One control harness assembly and two adapter cable assemblies are available to connect personal computers running Cat ET to the ADEM III, ADEM IV:E1, and ADEM IV:E4 Electronic Control Modules (ECM) on the above engines. A control harness assembly and one adapter cable assembly are required for the connection to the ECM.

    The 217-0113 Control Harness As. must be used with the 217-0114 Adapter Cable As. for engines with the ADEM III Electronic Control Modules. Engines with the ADEM IV:E1 or ADEM IV:E4 Electronic Control Modules require the 217-0113 Control Harness As. and the 224-4899 Adapter Cable As.

    The control harness assembly and the adapter cable assemblies will also serve to connect future Electronic Control Modules to the personal computer as well.
