Use FT1614 Cover To Protect Center Shaft Assembly{0622,3305,3306,3302,3307}

Usage:

7251 And 7261 Marine Transmissions

The FT1614 Cover can be fabricated to protect the 2N3469 Center Shaft Assembly during removal of the top shaft assembly from 7251 and 7261 Marine Transmissions. See the illustration. It is possible for the center shaft assembly to become bent or damaged when the top shaft assembly is installed or removed.

To install the FT1614 Cover, remove the 4L4296 Retainer, then fasten the FT1614 Cover to the transmission in place of the retainer. Leave the cover in place until the top shaft and transmission cover is completely installed.

Drawing for the FT1614 Cover are available from your Division Service Manager.
