Fan Drive

Usage:

Disassemble Fan Drive

Start By:

a. remove fan drive and support

1. Remove O-ring seal (3) from hub (4).

2. Remove two bolts (2) and washer (1).

3. Use a soft faced hammer to push hub (4) from bearing (5).

4. Remove bearing (5), spacer (7), bearing (6) and hub (4) from bracket assembly.

5. Remove lip type seal (8) from hub.

6. Remove pulley (9) and spacer (10) from bracket assembly.

7. Remove the pin that holds the shaft with a hammer and punch. Remove shaft (11) from the bracket.

Assemble Fan Drive

1. Put shaft (11) in position in bracket (12). Install pin that holds shaft.

2. Install spacer (10) and pulley (9) on bracket assembly.

3. Use tool group (A) to install the seal even with the end of hub (4) with the lip of the seal toward the outside as shown. Put lubricant of the type to be sealed on the lip of the seal.

4. Hand pack each of the two hub bearings with 5P960 Multipurpose Grease.

5. Install hub (4) and inner bearing (6) on bracket assembly.

6. Install spacer (7) in the hub.

7. Fill the area between the bearings in the hub with 5P960 Multipurpose Grease. Install outer bearing (5) in hub.

8. Install washer (1) on the shaft. Install O-ring seal (3) on hub.
