NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8067" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

NOTE: No labor is allowed for the installation of the new engine oil level gauge. However, a $25 US handling fee may be claimed under miscellaneous expenses.

Rework Procedure
Group 1
Remove the existing engine oil level gauge. Install the new 1072990 Gauge.
Group 2
In addition to the parts listed in the Parts Needed section, the following special supply items will be needed to perform the rework on Group 2 Affected Product:
1. Remove the crankcase guard (belly guard) to gain access to the engine oil pan.
2. Drain and collect the used engine oil for proper disposal.
3. Remove the existing oil pan. Remove the oil drain valve and install it in the new oil pan using a new 8L2786 O-Ring.
4. Remove the existing oil suction tube (suction bell) and its gasket from the oil pump. Install a new 7C5403 Tube Assembly and 7W5340 Gasket.
5. Clean the engine block oil pan mounting surfaces. Apply 7M7260 Sealant at each of the four corners of the block and to the front housing and rear seal carrier oil pan rail joints.
6. Install a new 1051556 Oil Pan and 7W8860 Gasket. Use 5H2471 Gasket Cement to hold the gasket in place on the oil pan during installation.
7. Remove the existing engine oil level gauge. Install a new 1072990 Gauge.
8. Remove the existing oil filter and install a new 1R0739 Filter Assembly.
9. Fill the engine with 26 liters (6.8 US gallons) of CF-4 multi-weight oil. The engine oil refill capacity is 26 liters (6.8 US gallons) including filter change.
10. Before starting the engine, check the oil level, with the machine in the normal parked position.
11. Start the engine and check for proper operation and leaks. Stop the engine.
12. Install the crankcase guard (belly guard).
- 13. Check the engine oil level again to ensure it is on the full mark (or within 6mm of the full mark).
