The article "Improved Woodward Governor Groups" in January 8, 1979 Service Magazine told about the release of the 7N9922 and 7N9923 Woodward Governor Groups for use with the above engines. That article also told that the 7N2702 Woodward Governor Group was canceled.
The new governors have had some problems during operation of generators in parallel applications with speed droop. For this reason, the 7N2702 Woodward Governor Group is now available as an attachment for generator set engines used in parallel applications.
