Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Release the hydraulic pressure. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

2. Remove the buffer. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, "Buffer - Remove and Install".

1. Ensure that the hammer is secure, in an upright position, and cannot fall.

2. Remove dust covers (1) from both sides of the hammer.

3. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic hammer (2). Refer to Table 2 for the approximate weight of hydraulic hammer (2).

4. Slowly lift hydraulic hammer (2) from the housing.

5. Install Tooling (B) into Tooling (C). Ensure that the mounting pin is the correct size.

6. Place hydraulic hammer (2) onto Tooling (C) and adjust support plate (3).

7. Use Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to position housing assembly (4) onto suitable blocking. Refer to Table 3 for the approximate weight of housing (4).
