- Távolítsa el a szennyeződést és a törmeléket a kaparókról.
- Vizsgálja meg a kaparókat kopást vagy sérülést keresve.
- Amikor a kaparót lefelé mozgatja, kövesse a támasztékán található beállítóhornyokat; ezzel biztosíthatja a kaparó eredeti szögének megőrzését. Ha nem maradt a beállítást lehetővé tevő horony, cserélje ki a kaparót.

- A kaparót úgy állítsa be, hogy a dob kaparója szélességben érintse a dobot.
- A kaparó beállításához lazítsa meg a csavarokat. Amikor a kaparók a kívánt pozícióba kerültek, húzza meg a csavarokat.
- Lazítsa meg a csavarokat, és távolítsa el a sérült kaparót.
- Szerelje fel az új kaparót, és szorítsa meg a csavarokat.
- A kaparót úgy állítsa be, hogy az hozzáérjen a dobhoz.
- A dobkaparót úgy szerelje fel, hogy a csavarjai a támasztékán található beállítóhornyok tetejéhez kerüljenek.
