Visual Inspection

Usage:

CW-14 LTJ
A visual inspection of the steering system and system components is the first step when a diagnosis of a problem is made. Stop the engine, and make the following inspections.

  1. Measure the oil level in the hydraulic oil tank.

  1. Use a clear bottle or container to obtain an oil sample from the hydraulic tank immediately after the engine is stopped. Examine the sample for air bubbles.

  1. Remove the hydraulic oil filter and examine the filter element for debris.

  1. Check all oil lines and connections for damage.

A visual inspection of the water spray system and system components is the first step when a diagnosis of a problem is made. Stop the engine, and make the following inspections:

  1. Check the water level in the water tank.

  1. Check all water lines, hoses, and connections for leaks and damage.
