Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, and on all harness assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Remove foot support assemblies (1). Remove floor mat (2).

  2. Remove plate assembly (3).

  3. Disconnect harness assembly (4) and harness assembly (5).

  4. Disconnect clip (6).

  5. Remove bolt (7). Remove bolts (9). Set cover (8) out of the way.

  8. Move valves (12) to the OFF position.

  9. Loosen hose clamp (13) in order to disconnect hose (14).

  10. Loosen hose clamp (15) in order to disconnect hose (16).

  11. Remove bolt (17).

  12. Disconnect cable assemblies (18).

  13. Disconnect harness assembly (19).

  14. Use Tooling (B) in order to disconnect wires (20) and wire (22).

  15. Cut cable straps (21).

  16. Remove bolt (23) in order to disconnect ground cable (24).

  17. Disconnect harness assembly (25).

  18. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to rollover protective structure (26). The weight of rollover protective structure (26) is approximately 689 kg (1520 lb).

  19. Remove bolts (27).

  20. Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to remove the rollover protective structure.

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to rollover protective structure (26). The weight of rollover protective structure (26) is approximately 689 kg (1520 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to position rollover protective structure (26) to the machine.

  2. Install bolts (27).

  3. Connect harness assembly (25).

  4. Connect ground cable (24) and install bolt (23).

  5. Connect wire (22) and wires (20).

  6. Attach cable straps (21).

  7. Connect harness assembly (19).

  8. Connect cable assemblies (18).

  9. Position the harness assembly and install bolt (17).

  10. Connect hose (16) and tighten hose clamp (15).

  11. Connect hose (14) and tighten hose clamp (13).

  12. Move valves (12) to the ON position.
