Rotor Drive Axle Shaft - Install
Installation Procedure

- Apply Tooling (A) to the seal face of nut (3) . Tooling (A) will give you the contact pattern between the seal face of nut (3) and the seal plate of rotor drive axle assembly (2) .

- Attach a suitable lifting device to rotor drive axle assembly (2) . The weight of the rotor drive axle assembly is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). Install rotor drive axle assembly (2) and bolts (1) .
- Remove bolts (1) and reposition rotor drive axle assembly (2) . Attach a suitable lifting device to rotor drive axle assembly (2) . Remove rotor drive axle assembly (2) .
- Measure the contact pattern of Tooling (A) on the seal plate of rotor drive axle assembly (2) . The width of Tooling (A) should be 3.00 to 6.00 mm (0.118 ± 0.236 inch).
- If the contact pattern is correct continue to Step 6. If the contact pattern is incorrect, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rotor Drive Differential - Install" to adjust the shims.
- Secure nut (3) with at least one tab of lockwasher (4) .
