来自活塞泵 (3) 的流量不充足可导致系统压力下降。 压力开关 (7) 的触点闭合，此后压力开关向 ECM 发送信号，通过将电驱动泵 (9) 连接至蓄电池启用电驱动泵。
压力通过转向单向/组合阀 (6) 传送至计量泵 (1) 。
如果方向盘静止，机油截止在计量泵 (1) 处。 泵管路中的压力移动阀 (9a) ，从而将机油输送至油箱。 电驱动泵 (9) 在较低负载下运转，压力保持在泵管路中。
如果方向盘转动，计量泵 (1) 中的内齿轮泵将机油输送至转向油缸 (2) 。 负载感应管路中的压力升高使阀 (9a) 移动。 从而增大泵输出，以满足系统需求。
图示为机器向右铰接时机油从电驱动泵 (9) 流出。
