Water Separator and Fuel Filter (Primary) - Remove and Install

- Open the engine enclosure. Engage the hood support.
- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Illustration 1 g06131977 - Loosen the clamps and remove hoses (3).
- Drain water separator (5). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel Tank Water and Sediment - Drain" for the correct draining procedure.
- Remove water separator (5) from fuel filter (4).
- Use Tooling (A) to remove fuel filter (4) from fuel filter base (2).
- Remove two bolts (1) and fuel filter base (2).
- Install water separator (5) in the reverse order of removal.
- Use Tooling (A) to install fuel filter (4) to fuel filter base (2).
- Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel Tank Water and Sediment - Drain" for the correct filling procedure.
