(1) Caps

The C175-20 60 Hz Generator Sets use turbochargers with water-cooled cartridges. The engines are shipped with caps (1) on the coolant outlet connections of the two inner turbochargers. The coolant lines between the radiator top tank and the turbochargers are site-specific and not provided. Failure to provide active venting of the turbochargers will cause turbocharger damage.

Solution

Active venting of the turbochargers is required. Connect each turbocharger water outlet to the upper radiator tank using individual lines, it is not recommended to combine the two.
