Spacer Plates

Usage:

Remove Spacer Plates

Start By:

a. remove cylinder heads

1. Remove water seals (1) from the spacer plate.


NOTICE

Do not damage the dowels as the spacer plate is removed.


2. Remove spacer plate (2) from the cylinder block.

3. Remove O-ring seal (3) and spacer plate gasket (4) from the cylinder head.

Install Spacer Plates

1. Make sure the spacer plate and the machined surface of the cylinder block are clean and free of dirt and foreign material.


NOTICE

Both surfaces of the spacer plate gasket and the top of the cylinder block must be clean. Do not use a gasket adhesive on these surfaces.


2. Install new O-ring seal (1).

3. Put a new spacer plate gasket (2) in position over the dowels.

4. Install a spacer plate (4).

5. Install new water seals (3) in the spacer plate.

6. Check the cylinder liner projection. See the topic "Cylinder Liner Projection" in the Specifications Module.
