start by:

a) remove air cleaner

b) remove exhaust recirculation tube

1. Remove seven bolts (1). Remove stud bolt (2) and washer.

2. Loosen bolt (4). Remove air inlet manifold (3). Put tape over cylinder head openings to keep out dirt.

Install Air Inlet Manifold

1. Remove the tape from the cylinder head openings.

2. Put air inlet manifold in position on the cylinder heads.

3. Install and tighten the seven bolts and one stud bolt. Tighten the bolts as follows:

a) Tighten bolts (3) and (4) first to a torque of 15 ± 5 lb. ft. (20 ± 7 N·m).

b) Tighten bolts (1) through (8) by number sequence to a final torque of 32 ± 5 lb. ft. (43 ± 7 N·m).

a) install exhaust recirculation tube

b) install air cleaner
