Maximum permissible end play of shaft ... .008 in.(0.20 mm)

(2) Torque for bolts for thrust bearing ... 60 ± 10 lb. in.(6.8 ± 1.1 N·m)

(3) Thickness of each thrust ring ... .099 to .100 in.(2.51 to 2.54 mm)

(4) Diameter of bearing surface (journal) for shaft bearing ... .6862 to .6865 in.(17.429 to 17.437 mm)

Bore in the bearing ... .6880 to .6883 in.(17.475 to 17.483 mm)

(5) Maximum permissible gap of ring seal (worn) ... .011 in.(0.28 mm)

Maximum permissible groove in ring seal (worn) ... .068 in.(1.73 mm)

Side clearance between ring seal and groove ... .002 to .004 in.(0.05 to 0.10 mm)

(6) Torque for nut holding impeller ... 32 ± 2 lb. ft.(43 ± 3 N·m)

(7) Diameter of bore in housing ... 1.0628 to 1.0633 in.(26.995 to 27.008 mm)

Outside diameter of the bearing ... 1.0585 to 1.0590 in.(26.886 to 26.899 mm)

(8) Width of groove in sleeve for ring seal ... .127 to .128 in.(3.23 to 3.25 mm)

Side clearance between two of the ring seals and sleeve groove ... .001 to .004 in.(0.03 to 0.10 mm)

(9) Clearance between housing and impeller ... .018 to .022 in.(0.46 to 0.56 mm)

(10) Torque for nut for band clamp ... 120 lb. in.(13.6 N·m)

(11) Thickness of thrust bearing ... .225 to .226 in.(5.72 to 5.74 mm)

(12) Torque for bolts for turbine housing ... 17 lb. ft.(23 N·m)

(13) Torque for nuts on bolts holding turbocharger ... 40 ± 5 lb. ft.(55 ± 7 N·m)
