Example Of An Owner Notification Letter

Rework Procedure

1. Place a lever below the barrel of the swing cylinder and lift to check for movement in the bearings. If there no movement can be detected, the swing cylinders are probably misaligned.

2. Remove the pin from the swing cylinder rod end and try to rotate the swing cylinder by hand. If the swing cylinder is difficult to rotate, the existing 9R7701 Trunnion Cap needs to be replaced.

4. Remove the existing 9R7701 Trunnion Cap Assembly by removing its six mounting bolts.

5. If the machine has been in service, replace the 2 - 9T2883 Bearings in the upper swing cylinder trunnion.

6. Install a new 1065645 Trunnion Cap Assembly using the six bolts removed in Step 4. Tighten the six bolts to a torque of 900 Nm ± 100 Nm (666 ± 74 lb ft).

7. Check the movement of the swing cylinder, as described in Steps 1 and 2, to ensure that the swing cylinder rotates freely.

8. Stamp a new part number of 1065642 into the right-hand corner of the slide frame.
