Problem
The pressure gages that monitor the pressure in the front wheel drive motor hydraulic circuit may not be as reliable as desired on certain 140G AWD Motor Graders (140G Motor Graders Equipped With A 3Z4880 Modification). These AWD pressure gages can be removed and replaced with an instruction film to assist the operator in efficiently using the front wheel drive system.

Parts Disposition
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. Attach. (1-Rework Procedure) Rework Procedure 1. Turn the disconnect switch to the "Off" (open) position. 2. Disconnect the cables from the batteries. 3. Disconnect the wires from the two (2) 1Q5373 Gages. See Illustration 1, View E-E and View F-F. 4. Protect the exposed wire ends and tie them back to the AWD wiring harness. 5. Remove the two (2) 1Q5373 Gages from the 1Q5502 Adapters. See Illustration 2. 6. Install two (2) 5M6213 Plugs in the 1Q5502 Adapters. 7. Disconnect the 1Q5509 Wiring Harness from the 1Q5508 Wiring Harness. See Illustration 2. Insert seven (7) 9G3695 Sealing Plugs into one (1) 9G3670 Housing. Install that housing into the housing on the end of the 1Q5508 Wiring Harness. 8. Refer to Illustration 2 and remove the components with reference numbers 1 through 14 and 18. Plug the holes from which the grommets were removed with two (2) 5H4871 Plugs. NOTE: On machines equipped with heater or air conditioner it will be necessary to remove the 6G2350 Panel Assembly to gain access to the 8J1256 Clips. See Illustration 2, Item 9. Remove the two 7G2172 Louver Assemblies. See Illustration 4. Remove the 6G2642 Cover by pushing the cover downward and outward at the top. Remove the 4V6981 Screws which fasten the panel assembly to the cab wall. Remove the panel. Reverse steps to assemble. 9. Disconnect the 123WH wire from the terminal in the fuse box. See Illustration 1. Protect the exposed terminal end and tie the wire back. 10. Disconnect the 1Q5710 Wire Assembly from the head lamp switch. See Illustration 1. Also, disconnect the 1Q5710 Wire Assembly from the 1Q5508 Wire Harness. Insert two (2) 9G3695 Sealing Plugs into a 7N9738 Housing. Install the housing into the housing from which the 1Q5710 Wire Assembly was removed. Coil and secure the portion of the 1Q5508 Wire Harness. 11. Remove the two (2) 7X0266 Bolts and the two (2) 8T4205 Washers which fasten the 3Z4703 Controller to the operators console. Save the bolts and washers. See Illustration 3. 12. Install the 1Q6012 Plate Assembly between the operators console and the controller. Fasten the controller and the plate assembly to the console.
