Introduction

Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an Interim Repair has not been defined.

Problem

Certain C7 and C9 truck engines are having fuel injectors fail with the check engine light for -7 injector codes at Very Early Hours. The fuel injector -7 not responding properly codes are incorrectly triggered by the software, based on fuel injector returns analysis.

Rerun Fuel System Verification Test (FSVT) or replace with same part.
