New Transmission Software is Now Available For Certain 797F Large Off-Highway Trucks {4800, 4808, 7610, 7620}

Usage:

797F LAJ

Off-Highway Truck/Tractor: 797F (S/N: LAJ1-UP; WSP1-UP; LTZ1-UP)

A new transmission software is now available to the machines that are listed above. The new and former part numbers are listed in Table 1.

Note: This transmission software is not to be used on a machine equipped with Command for Hauling. Software for these machines is available on "dealer.cat.com".

Note: Cat^® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) Service Tool, release 2018B v1.0 or later is required to configure machine hardware after flash is complete.

Note: The new software is available in the form of a flash file through the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). A newer flash file part number may be available. SIS Web only displays the latest available flash file.

Note: If the machine is being updated from 562-3684 Power Train Software Gp (flash file), then a transmission calibration will be required when 574-0020 Power Train Software Gp is flashed onto the machine.

The new transmission software has the below mentioned improvements:

Improved to support transmission serial number prefix MNY.
Updated logic to reduce engine speed excursions.

The new transmission software is adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers.
