1980/11/12 Caterpillar

Double-Check Those Dimensions

Usage:

In most Caterpillar service publications, especially in newer ones, dimensions are given first in metric and then in U.S. Customary Units, for example, 41.28 mm (1.625"). But there are publications (such as Service Manuals printed before the change to metric) which still use the old method of conversion-first the U.S. Customary Units and then the metric. To be sure you use the correct specification, double check those dimensions every time!
